If the typically-pessimistic analyst quoted in the New York Times is right, 300,000 Pres have been sold so far, and I own one of them. Not bad sales for the first month of a nascent platform. What does this mean for the platform? It’s too early to tell, but I’m leaning towards a positive interpretation.

Bobby,
One thing not addressed on this site is WHY you switched to a palm pre. Based on your posts, one would almost assume that palm is paying you to be a guinea pig and you said yes. Because based on their screwing up your number, rebate eligibility, the tough times you’ve had synching contacts (which is my current problem with the pre), etc. One wonders why on earth you’ve switched.
Tell us which is better? Pre or Iphone? I still have 28 days left to change my mind and try an iphone.
For me, the advantages are signal reception, customer service (I hear AT&T is a big unresponsive bully), and the ability to have insurance on the phone (lose an iphone and you’re out the money you spent, and then you have to buy a new one without a rebate)
So which do you like more?
GERRY
